Fluid Produzioni has signed a development deal with Elk Film, a Danish production company from Copenaghen, for the new documentary by the director duo Sine Plambech and Janus Metz. The project, titled Rescue, takes inspiration from Sine’s education (as an anthropologist and senior researcher for the Danish Institute for Advanced Studies) and puts all of her knowledge to the service of a survey on themes such as human trafficking, female migration, refugees and immigration politics.

The first, important step of the process will take place in Aprile: Doctors Without Borders has invited Sine and Janus, allowing them exclusive and unconditional access on board of the Geo Barent for 14 days. The Geo Barents is a boat which patrols the Mediterranean Sea almost every night to help migrants and refugees who brave the most dangerous migration route in the world.
